2 and 5 Day Navigation and Bridge Watch Keeping
The courses deliver aspects of basic navigation and chartwork, collision avoidance regulations (COLREGS), electronic navigation aids, buoyage, and information on safe bridge watchkeeping. The two day course is aimed at fishermen operating up to 20 miles and the 5 day course is more advanced for those wishing to operate beyond 20 miles. Training is delivered through a combination of theory and practical sessions with a multiple choice assessment.

The course delivers the knowledge of 4 stroke diesel engine theory, fuel & air systems, turbo charging, exhaust & cooling systems, vessel operations & safety, maintenance, tools & equipment. It is delivered over two days and is aimed at fishermen operating up to 20 miles. Training is delivered through a combination of theory sessions with a short multiple choice assessment.

This one day course delivers the knowledge so that new entrants to the industry will be aware of how the stability of a fishing vessel is maintained and will develop an awareness of basic stability principles with the aim of reducing the number of stability related fishing vessel casualties by minimise stability risks from personal actions. Training is delivered through a combination of theory sessions, practical demonstrations with a scale model fishing vessel and a multiple choice assessment.
